In the United States, the average income of an Epic Systems Trainer is $94,687.00 and for a Cerner Trainer is $85,949.00.  That represents a near $10,000 difference between the two roles.  If you hover on the interactive map above, you can see the two different salaries in each state. For a bigger picture, please click here.

According to Ziprecruiter, here are the top 5 highest average income states for Epic and Cerner Trainer roles:

  1. New York
  2. Massachusetts
  3. Maryland
  4. California
  5. Nebraska

The figures are created as a blended average of posted roles advertised across the nation over the past 12 months.  Individual salaries for rare or specialized skills can vary substantially from state to state and even within a city.  Certain high demand, low supply skills command up to $85,000 more than per annum than the posted average.  Interestingly, lower demand skills do not attract such a wide variation.  Skills falling into this category are generally no more than $18,000 off the pace of the local medium.
