Cerner Top 4 Innovation Highlights for 2019

Here are the 4 highlights for Cerner in the past couple of months:

  1. Cerner has partnered up with LifeCenters, a hospitality and real estate development company, to focus on creating new health programs for senior-living communities. They are looking to develop centers for primary care, pharmacy and fitness.  What Cerner is offering is their innovation: Cerner Motion Health System.  This equipment uses 3D motion capture technology to develop personalized rehabilitation plans for patients.
  2. Moving along with their power move, Cerner is also working alongside Duke Clinical Research Institute. There they are studying the Cerner Learning Health Network which is going to help make patient health information accessible and data collection automated.  With the help of this study, they hope that AI will be able to find the most effective and cost-effective treatment for patients.
  3. In one of our other articles, we discussed Cerner’s partnership with Amazon Web Services for cloud services. We highlighted that This partnership also hopes to improve clinical experiences, decrease burdens for healthcare organizations and accelerate the development of artificial intelligence (AI).  Cerner and AWS plans of working together is to move forward with AI and enable increased speed to market.   Cerner wants to accelerate their advances in health system interoperability and data portability.
  4. Cerner is paving the way for third-party developers to design EHR applications. They created an annual Code App Challenge in hope to further increase consumer access and understanding of the health system.
